Baby on Board!

Hip, hip, hooray! There's a baby on the way!

The last thing a soon-to-be mother should be is stressed. In order to stay completely away from that, I want to help plan the perfect baby stress-free baby shower. Let's celebrate that cute little peanut that's about to make its first appearance in the world!

Whoever is throwing the baby shower, rather it be the mother's sister, best friend, or maybe even the mother herself, the event needs planning. In order to stay away from stress, I've created a guideline for you and I to follow.

First, let's set a budget. Like any other party or event, the budget is an important factor.

Second, let's discuss the date and venue. The date should work well with the mother. Besides, the shower is for her! I would hate for her not to be there! After the date is set, we can start thinking of venues. Baby shower venues can be anywhere from a church to the mother's living room. Heck, I've even been to a baby shower at a bank! Venue options are endless.

Third, we will need to finalize a guest list and send out invitations. We want the mother to feel loved and special, so let's try to think of her closest friends and family that would be excited to celebrate her soon-to-be boy or girl with her.

Fourth, we will need to talk about the decorations, games, food and drinks. Depending on the size of the shower, vendors could be an option. For a smaller baby shower, homemade sandwiches, fruit and veggie trays, and cupcakes are a few easy but delicious options. For decorations and games, I like to be fun and creative. Here are some game and activity ideas:

- Dirty diapers

- Pin the diaper on the baby

- Guess the gender

- Make headbands for a babygirl

- Create a jar with notes for the baby to open later on

- Decorating onesies, bibs, rags, and bottles

Now that we have a few ideas for the shower, we can create the perfect day for the mother and child.

Fifth, it's time to tie it all together. We now have everything we need to make the baby shower personal to the mother. We've set the budget, date and venue. We've invited all of her friends and family. The decorations, activities, food and drinks are all decided. Now, it's time to throw the shower!

I hope this blog post gave you the clarity you need. It's so exciting to bring another little peanut into this world. I know the mother can't wait, and neither can I. Let's start planning!
